Giving Thanks

Thanks Giving

Definition: is to take a day to thank God for taking us through a harsh storm.

Intresting what I find when I get couriuos. This was one of the definitions I found when I looked up the word thanks giving.

Everday we are faced with storms.

Sometimes our thoughts start clouding up through out the day and it begins overwhelming us with lies and condomnation, becoming a storm thats out of control and fills us with unhealthy thoughts.

Sometimes we have to face illnessess that drain us completely. Once again planting a storm in our lives.

At times death will overwhelm us with greif, giving us the uncontrolable storm that takes a long time to heal the moarning and loss, missing the one we love.

Then we have the on going temptations, bad habits, raising our children and relationships that can push us in and out of storms.

Everything I have mentioned here will will surely bring you to a point of sadness. Grief, because of the uncontrolable world we live in. God is always there. Watching us, crying with us and trying to hold us through our storms. He is faithful and just! He will never leave you!

So now we had this day of thankgiving, why not take a moment to give thanks to God for taking us through all of our storms through out this life, year, day, whatever it might be. He is always there to calm the storm and hold you in his arms.

2 Samuel 22:17-19

He reached down from on high and took hold of me;

he drew me out of deep waters.

He rescued me from my powerful enemy,

from my foes, who are to strong for me.

They confronted me in the day of disaster,

but the Lord was my support.

Candy this is the third post I have read tonight that talks about "gratitude and thanks." I think a lot of us are on the same page.... A good page indeed.

The book I'm reading right now talked about "gratitude" being the first step to Trust....

Thanks for your inspirational posting.

Awesome post, such a true Bible verse, I also love Psalm 121, it speaks of very much the same things...wow amazing to think that all of life's questions and answers are in the Bible all we have to do is look and be comforted...
Love you and miss you Candy!
