Mothers Day Out

Wow... What a day. I didn't know that I could do so much in a day. Or should I say that I have never felt so many different emotions in one day. Of course, I would have to only expect that on a day our with the girls.
I look forward to this day all year long. It's a day out with the in-laws. (girls only)
We started our day with a pedicure (for mom and Rose) and gel nails (for me and Louise). Unfortunately I've had better "TeeHee". But being able to share this time with Louise was great, seeing she was loosing her virginity to Gel Nails. lol
I didn't get any pics of our time at the salon because the chic doing my nails had issues with the glue. "bad mistake" I think she was a little blond.
After we finished up at the salon, we headed off to Earls.
Wow did we let loose. No booze involved, well at the beginning...anyways.

The music in the restaurant was all Cuban so I had to have a Mojito. MMmmmm... Loved it. It made me miss Cuba so much, I was ready to check the air fair.
We spent a lot of time sharing stories in our lives and celebrating our love. I always think it's so interesting to look at all the differences in our lives but yet how we share so much of the same feelings and interests in our lives. Mom has always been such a great influence to me and I love her deeply for her honesty and humility she shares at a time like this. After hearing mom speak so deeply at last years mothers day out, we all took the initiative to share our hearts desires. Tears were flowing..........
And then we laughed so hard tears were flowing
Down our legs ...............LOL...
Never a dull moment.
After our great lunch we went shopping. And again we were a little silly. "Louise"

Thanks girls, for being so much fun and being such a great support in my life. I had a blast and I'm counting down the day's for next year.

Prayer

I'm sending out a big prayer request for my mom. She had an emergency appendix surgery this afternoon. She is doing well right now, but I know that the recovery will be long and hard for her.
She is a great mother and a wonderful grandmother to our children. Very caring and compassionate. I feel so bad for her that she has to go through this right now and I know that she will miss a lot of time with her grandchildren. (She had a big week planed.)
Mom I love you and I pray for a fast recovery for you. "All of us wont know what to do with out all help and food" lol... You have such a big heart and so much love to give. Thank you for all you do. God Bless you...
Get well soon.

Great Weather...

Ok, It took a long time for me to get it together and get my pictures together, but two weeks ago we went from + 21 to -20 with rain (ice) and winds gusting up to 70 klm's and hour. Our power was constantly going off.

I bundled up and took a walk outside for some great pics.

What a great way to welcome spring. One of our local greenhouses (Oakridge Greenhouse)started a new program for children. My bro, Mike is a very gifted man in the garden and has taken the time out of his day to teach kids ages 4-12 all about plants, bugs and what a garden is truly made off.
Today was BUGS!!!
Here's Mister Mike "the bee". Teaching us all about bees and how they pollinate.
The Children new everything about bugs and took the time to "teach" us adults about the good and bad bugs in the garden. "What ever happened to raising their hands?" lol...
Nothing we could do but chuckle our way through it.
Something about 35 kids verses 3 adults. lol...

We had a tonne of worms come for a visit... This was the highlight. They felt really important with the magnified glasses.

And to finish it off, they all got their own butterfly nets for their own adventures in their moms gardens. Thanks Mike and Shari for all your hard work and creativity.

OK, I've been spending some time looking for an idea on a tree house for Jadden. I wanted it to be out of this world. Something you would want to play in as an adult. Well I found it..... Amazing tree houses for children and adults. They even have tree house hotels for romantic retreats. So cool! You have to check it out. Go to http://www.blueforest.com/ and you will be amazed. I don't know if I could every build Jadden a tree house like this but it would be fun.

Reno's

Wooo hooo reno's. I can't say I enjoy it much. I like the decorating a lot more, but I guess we all have to go through it.
We'll add a lot of living space to our house by the time our basement is finished. We are adding a TV room (big screen for Sheldon), a office and an area for me to work out. I can't wait for it to be done. I'm hoping for middle of summer. With paintball starting, Sheldon has much larger responsibilities then renovating the basement.
The best part of the reno's is the new furniture I'll be getting on main floor. I can hardly wait to go shopping. Hopefully by myself seeing Sheldon wants nothing to do with it. lol...

Spring Trip

Again.. It's been a while, but what a great time I have had.
The three of us took off on a four day trip to Minneapolis on the 28th of March. My goal for this weekend was for us to clean off our slate and take this time to grow in our family relationship and share our moments together in celebration. My prayers were answered. We had such a blast fulfilling every one's expectations and needs. We all went into this trip with a goal to think over each other before we thought of ourselves. I was amazed at how much we could do in the few hours we had every day.
We saw two NHL games. Friday we watched The Minnesota Wild vrs The Vancouver Canucks (for Jadden). Where Jadden got all of the Canucks autographs. He was so exited. And on Sunday we went to the Minnesota Wild vrs The Colorado Avalanche game (for Sheldon). We didn't get any autographs, but we got some amazing pictures and POPCORN..... I have never been at a game where it's been so loud. That's NHL for ya. To bad we don't have the Jets out here any more.
So for me,,,, We went to Ikea, of course. I found a tonne of great thing's witch i didn't buy. But I did come home with a bunch a curtains and have made my house feel so much warmer. The only problem is that every time I put something new in my house I can see what elts I need. More $$$$$$$$$. LOL...

We filled up the rest of our weekend with shopping, eating, and a lot of walking. And to finish it off, a trip to the Mall of America. Jadden and Sheldon had never been there before. You should have seen their faces when they saw the roller coasters screaming past us.
I can hardly wait for another trip. Jadden is getting to the age were we have things in common and we had many chances to share and talk. So often we don't find time to do this at home, but just a little of this makes me want it all the time.
So whats next? We are planning our summer trip. We'll see where we end up.
